I remember a Turkish lad on here and he said in Turkish league cenk was good at everything but that's it. He will work, score some goals has a touch etc. But was excellent at nothing.
I think he hit nail on head for turkish league. Not up to standard here. Prob not as bad as he looks currently but lack of game time doesnt help him. Sure he would score some goals if given game time but not a quality forward.

Only way this is in any way beneficial to us is if he moves permanently after this loan spell.

We have to hope he does well at Palace. I think they were linked with him the season before us, down to Allardyce. I think he may do ok there too. Hodgsons style I think will suit him, and at present he has Ayew and Benteke to get in ahead of, who are really poor as well. He's a very decent finisher and They may make chances for him.

Yeah i'd agree with that, he's not hopeless, just very average. I can see him doing reasonably well there, not pulling up any trees but scoring 4 or 5 goals.

Exactly - we simply should NEVER loan out our awful players; clubs then see how bad they are! We could have got £10m for Mirallas, £15m for Bolasie and actual english pounds (albeit about £50,000) for Cuco Martina. Sell, take the hit and get them off the books. Wages are more important than the fee. We will have paid Cuco £5.5m by the end of June. Made him a mult-millionaire and he doesn't know the rules of football and 90% of his throw-ins are actually foul-throws!

No issues at all with Cenk. He was bought by a previous manager, the style doesn't suit him and I'm not sure the PL suits him, but he has always tried, he normally has a smile and seems a likable person. He just isn't very good, cant knock him for coming to EFC but its the right move and reckon he will end up in Germany come the summer. Hope he scores a hattrick against the RS
