When you support the player over the club your opinion becomes biased towards the player and the person ignores what's best for the club and then actual fans of the club start getting annoyed with the people who are just here to support the player because they think the player they are following will fix every problem.

Hopefully, the brilliant display by Cenk Tosun against Rotherham will convince Ancelotti that he doesn't need to splash out on another forward and he should stick with the Shredded Wheat headed goal machine instead.

However, we made the decision to allow Kean to leave (fine) when we already needed another forward.

The plan was to let Richarlison play at CF if needed, but it was taking a huge gamble on Richarlison not getting injured or suspended or contracting covid (all of which were possibilities) or, just as we've seen not happen, keeping his form.

Same goes for DCL.

Of all the seasons not to take that gamble, this one was it. I said as much at the time and stand by it.

We now have DCL out and Richarlison doubtful too mate.

There was no excuse for the decision and it was always going to come back and bite us.
