Barcelona are probably the favourites, but can Juve spring an upset?

Good day to you, Grand Old pack,
Your favourite multi is back,
What's that I heard?
At best I am third,
Behind Snides and Senor Tallywack?

There is a massive fixture unfurlin'
In a big old stadium in Berlin,
That rhyming was crap,
But I'm feeding off scraps,
Like the 50 kids of Raheem Sterlin'

See, a preview almost always precedes
Each match so I took on the deed,
I'll do it instead
Of the oversized head,
That jarg Hey Arnold on speed

It makes this dog's paws all blistery,
How these two teams are loved is a mystery,
I find it quite fair,
This tawdry affair,
Is played somewhere so steeped in history

I think Barca are worse than Madrid,
Qatar bought their soul for a quid,
They're ballbags and scrubs,
"More than a club"
Only when they're not trafficking kids

But even they can't hold a candle
Remember the Calciopoli scandal?
Juve bribed some officials,
To inscribe their initials,
On the scudetto, a cup without handles

But for now, let's put all that aside
Two giants of Europe collide,
Barca's strength grows,
While history shows,
The Old Lady is rarely the bride

Barca's a team of big egos,
We all know the three amigos,
It seems Juve's game,
Will go down in flames,
Like the candidacy of Luis Figo

The numbers would make your head sore,
It's the most that three men have scored
Since Moutsgoat's mar,
Sold off her car,
And joined Leicester's post-season tour

And how could I forget to mention,
The racist, walking suspension?
He eats Tortellini,
With a side of Chiellini,
But he's the "victim" of misapprehension

But should we write Juve off yet?
They pose a unique sort of threat,
There's Andrea Pirlo,
A real, vintage merlot,
And Tevez, Joorabchian's pet

It could be the older men's last hurrah,
Evra, the poor man's Luke Shaw
At least for Buffon,
He can put his hands on
This trophy, win, lose or draw

It'll probably be Barcelona, but who knows?

That's football - the potential for the underdog.

Juventus aren't pushovers and have a very able back 4 that has a better chance than most teams at containing Barca. I just look at Messi, Suarez and Neymar and cannot see past them winning though. I just hope it's a good final, there's been so many crap ones the last few years.

Juve were never really among my favourite Italian teams, but I'd love to see Serie A return to its old level. Still think Barca will sneak it though, unless Juve can do an Inter/Chelsea style number on them.

Will be a better final than Barca and Real would have been. I think Juventus may spring a surprise. Wouldn't put serious money on to back that claim though.

hope Juve pull it off. some class players and love seeing neymar and suarez lose. will be happy for some of the other barca players though. nice for xavi to leave with a trophy

Bit of trivia, Juve have been in seven finals, but only won two of them. Their 5 defeats is a joint record (with Bayern and Benfica), and they've lost their last three finals. Barca have been in seven finals too, but have a 4-3 record.

When was the last time barca lost a final? I can remember their 4 wins but not the losses. Were they 0-3 at one stage?

I think Juve have a chance. They have the best defence in the world, in my opinion. If they play to the best of their ability and get a slice of luck, they can do it.

Would love to see Buffon win the CL. One of my favourite ever players.

Scary to think that Milan were actually the underdogs in that final. Barca had swept all before them en route, and famously thrashed Man Utd earlier in the competition. Milan were a great side but were without Marco van Basten, Gianluigi Lentini, Franco Baresi, Alessandro Costacurta, Florin Raducioiu, Jean-Pierre Papin and Brian Laudrup due to either injuries or the 3 foreigner rule, yet they produced an incredible performance. In my opinion the most complete performance by a club side I've ever seen.
