Should be similar to the system in Serie B in Italy. If the gap is big enough between 3rd and 4th, 3rd automatically goes up.
Shame though, lovely bloke, never have an ex back they say, we tried it with Ron Atkinson and Johhny Giles and it failed. Working for you though.

He’s doing some good articles on EFL teams at the moment
They seem to take a lot of young lads, who`ve been let go by us, the RS and Man U, as rough diamonds and develop them.
I was speaking to a lad I know who`s son has just gone there after being let go by Man U at sixteen.
The way he was telling it, it makes good business sense from their prospective - pick up boys at 16, who`ve already been in Premier League academies, play them in the U23`s and either sell them on or retain them for the team. Apparently Blackburn offer a similar model.
He said after his lad being at Man U since the age of six, it`s like a breath of fresh for both him and his lad. Much more emphasis on development and much less rush to be the finished article as quickly as possible.
