Championship Games Next Season

I for one thing there should be a series of changes when Everton line up in the EFL next season.

Z-cars should be replaced with ‘The Final Countdown’, whoever the manager is should be obliged to wear a baseball cap to all our games and there should defo be a drummer banging his drum in the crowd at home games. We’ll fit right in.

Difficult to say, as we dont know everyone who is going up or down, I would say certainly the ones we used to play back in the 90's. Nottingham Forrest and Coventry, who we haven't played in the league for a long time. The only other one that stands out is Bristol City, we've not played them in the league since 1980
QPR too!

I’d bring the sirens back now to get the crowd frothing at the mouth as the teams come out. I am more concerned with giving us the best chance of staying up than i am of being considerate to Myko!

I’m curious as to how this will affect my interest in Prem games. Will I start to randomly watch the Championship? Exciting times.

In the late ‘80’s early ‘90’s the team that finished 3rd from bottom used to play the team that was third in the next division to stay up or get promoted. I sort of recall Charlton avoiding the drop on a couple of occasions. Pity that format was dropped.

Agree with that,if I remember correctly it was 3rd bottom playing the team who finished 5th in league below, with 3rd and 4th from the same league playing each other, and then the final. I think it's a system they still use in Germany? Scotland too. Doesn't seem right that one team, whether it turns out to be us or whoever, can potentially be replaced by a team that finishes nine places below them in the league ladder. Charlton stayed up in the first year, Chelsea went down in the second year and then I think it changed after that to the current format.

Yep great idea but you know if that was in place this year Everton would finish 2nd from bottom lol

If Plymouth get promoted from league 1, that is a very convenient away day for me. Not so convenient for the rest of you, though.

A friend, who is a Wigan fan, has already suggested going back to the car share arrangement we used to have when they were in the PL. Wigan look as if they will be promoted from League One.
