Championship strikers who made the step up to PremierLeague

Just as the title suggests, can you name any strikers who were [Poor language removed] hot in the Championship and then successfully made the move up to the PremierLeague.

Seems that more often or not they flunk it, which is fair enough considering the gulf in class but there must be some who have done well.

Strikers in general are quite peculiar.

Look at Darren Bent, scored plenty for ipswich (i think) moved to charlton and scored over 20, yet hasnt been the same at spurs.

Beattie, did he get a season in the old div 1? then go on and score 27 prem goals or whatever it was for saints?

Kevin Phillips, scored goals everywhere. modern day great, and not a knob head either - didnt mind mentioning the problems with the international setup.

Who was the lad for Bolton? that equalised for them when gazza put us 2 -1 up at their place? it was rickets wasnt it? he had a storming season in the prem, and i believe he made the step up from one of the lower leagues. all went tits up at boro though.

Zamora scored lower down but hasnt made it in the prem. same with Akinbiyi.

Brian Dean?

Ian Wright for palace then scored sack loads for Arsenal.

Really getting the old gray matter dusted off this question. got to be plenty more, Sheringham? Cottee? Andy Cole???

He played both for Sheff Utd. but mostly on the RW so you are right. At Fevernache I think he plays striker most of the time.
