Well QPR have some of the richest men in the world in charge and all they have done is put up prices all over the show. I think the net outlay they have spent is 20m, but even that was a loan. Some clubs no matter how much money they have will always be crap. You heard it here 1st, no matter how much money City have they will never attract quality players, only money hungry fools like Robinho.

Yea but Chelsea are a big club in London, City are just a crap club from Manchester, they will maybe win a few FA cups and a few Carling, but they will never ever win the title or the CL.

My cousins husband is a palace fan and hes not keen on Charlton although he hates every team north of Watford as well still goes on about Bertie Head

Bertie? That'll be Bert to you! (actually, Sir Bert if I come to think about his achievements) Now sadly deceased. As a kid of 12 I had no real idea of what he had done, now 40 years on, I realise that taking the club from Div.4 to Div.1 in nine seasons was awesome. Previously having spent all of our history as a league club,(elected 1920) bar one in Div 3 (S) and applying for re election three times with only a 6-0 victory at Goodison in the FA Cup on January 7 1921 to sustain us, (sorry, that was always going to come out, might as well get it over with. ...in any case the favour was returned by the same score at our place ten years later!)
Looking back, I think, a bit like Sir Alf.,he was a victim of the "glamour" that overtook Football in the 70's. When Big Mal came in,(Oh how we all loved that!) Bert was shamefully treated, almost publically humiliated by the board. A good man and not appreciated by those who should have known better.
Not keen on Charlton? its like being not keen on herpes, its a bit of a nuisance but it goes away eventually!

Soon, however, they will have their new ground at Falmer, then who knows? They deserve their ground, their fans have had to put up with absolute **** from unscrupulous previous chairmen, residents of Withdean, and Falmer and, fair play, they always show up and make some noise.
