I disagree with pretty much all of your assessment of him, if you think moyes, benitez dyche and achelloti are selecting a football of your description then you have quite the imagination.

As stated, the descriptions of doucs are hyperbolic nonsense by axe grinders

All of these guys played him for a specific role. And role was necessary b/c we could not play a style of football that would get us above mid table. Ancelotti had no other options so he just rolled with his strengths and played that way. Lampard took one look at Doucoure and was like no thanks, b/c he dreamed of playing a certain way, which was his ultimate downfall here. That's now working at Coventry.

Doucoure is what he is, an energy guy that covers ground and is a big body that when in the box can make things happen. But as a transition midfielder he truly is terrible. I mean just by the eye test he is almost unwatchable with the ball at his feet. He absolutely kills counterattacks. He was a perfect Dyche player. Moyes is playing him b/c he has virtually no other options. It's one reason you hear links to Soucek.

Don't get me wrong, he's done some good stuff in his time here, despite his glaring weaknesses. I just don't think he should be part of our future plans. Ideally next season we have Gana, Garner, Alcaraz, and two other options in midfield.
