2024/25 Charly Alcaraz

Does anyone know if the clause in his deal is just appearances or he has to start the games?

I think it's 9 starts triggers the deal.

I have a theory as well.

I don't think he'll start against City and Chelsea but I think he'll start the final 4 games. If my theory is correct, it'll mean he has 8 starts and will still give Moyes the chance to think about signing him.

I think Moyes has been cold on him on purpose, I think he's playing a bit of call of my bluff and trying to keep it cool

Now, if he doesn't start the final 4 games and Moyes continues to pick Doucoure, then ignore everything I've just said above as it'll be a pile of crap 😆

Could be something in that la.

Top player who will develop well if he’s allowed to with the toffees. Always looking to do something with the ball and an accurate passer. Gets himself in decent positions at the box as well. Pity some of our players don’t have the vision to pick him out. Always be a fan after the way he got Doucs back at the end of the Derby!!

….it might not be Alcaraz or Doucoure. I get the impression Moyes would like him to fit a similar role to Ndiaye, not an orthodox wide player but one with licence to support the striker and get in central positions. I believe Doucoure enables this, often see him covering the left channel when Ndiaye is attacking the box.

Regardless, I thought he was largely impressive in his cameo yesterday.

For me, i think we should be taking up the option, he's a player who has good ability, and can be improved, we got better in an attacking sense for me when he came on, he can fill a few positions, and i'd like to see us just go in on him and give him a chance now.

You don't get many players with his talent for 15m.

Love his composure on the ball always seems to have the perfect weight to his pass i think we would be foolish not to take up the option, £15m it's nothing these days. He doesn't address the need for speed in our team, but a fast right winger and centre forward would. Attacking full backs with pace would help too.

should start the next 5 games, see what he can really do

then bench him for southampton if moyes thinks its not worth triggering

but it shouldnt be left too late, will be really frustrating and someone else in the league or europe will snap him up

when referring to his price tag its not £15m, it’s €15m

thats around £12.5m

thats an absolute steal

we really need to see him NDiaye and McNeil together

come on moyes
