Home game against top-of-the-table Rocket City United yesterday. Apparently the referee had a shocker and, at 1-1 and into injury time, he gave a very iffy penalty to RCU. Needless to say, Rich saved it!
According to the CFC fans reporting on the game, Chattanooga should have won 4-1 so I guess 1-1 is a bit of a disapointmentAh well.
Masters read the shot all the way. Nice save from a smart keeper!
He's not Timmy (of whom I've been a big fan since he first came off the bench for the MetroStars), but we're glad to have him!
Welcome to the The Grand Old team site, Elizabeth. I take it you mean Timmy as in Howard?
Good luck in Birmingham against the Pumas tonight![]()
Sorry, haved called him Timmy for many years. Yes, Tim Howard. I moved to Chattanooga from New Jersey, after all. Have to support all Yanks from my home state!
Not a good result for Masters and the boys last night. Rematch is on Independence Day! We're hoping for a big crowd, but Fireworks may be too much competition for football (soccer) in this throwball (football/gridiron) town.
Hope every Evertonian is supporting the Yanks today against Spain!
Not sure if this link will work if you're not on Facebook but they're calling it 'The save' (a picture of it, too) in this NSPL Insider article about CFC.

Bad luck against Brazil. Tim and Rich both letting in 3 was a bit of a downer but hey, check out this video of the game against Rocket City - penalty save and all!

(Are there actually any lines on the pitch other than the gridiron ones?)
