His PL statistics are similar to Maupay’s, and have never been stellar, so what convinces you that he will a) perform better and b) do the job required?
A (PL) mean goal per season ratio of 6.25 and a goal per game of 4.73 isn’t convincing me. Maupay’s are 6.75 and 4.77 by the way*
*with a standout terrible season for us swaying them. Without it, 8.66 and 3.92.
So yeah, if we’re saying Maupay is rubbish then statistically it would only be right and just to say he is as well. Do you agree?

Tbh it our fans snobbery and ridiculous nature to transfers. Many players don’t have the best stats but are effective.
Also players can do well despite previous clubs. See pienaar for example.
To be fair, I agree with this, and I think we do need to be more realistic of where we are, in terms of stature, and our financial predicament.
Nevertheless, that doesn’t mean that Adams should be accepted because from my perspective, based on what I’ve seen, he isn’t what we need.
His statistics only go on to back that judgment up in my opinion, but that means very little as the club appear to have a sustained interest in him.
Having watched him play for Scotland numerous times, he's terrible. The fact lyndon dykes gets in ahead of him tells you all you need to know. In fact if we went for Dykes, at least we would get a big centre forward who holds the ball up well and creates with flick ons and would probably score similar to Adams, 3-5 over the season.
