Cheese on Toast

Had an extra mature cheddar on sourdough this morning. Superb it was.

I too eat all the cheeses and will enjoy most of them on toast. I agree with whoever put a smear of butter on their toast - especially if it's jot a very oily cheese.

Yum yum yum.

All cheese on toast is made a little bit better by a thin spread of butter under the cheese
I would favour a strong Cheddar or crumbly Lancashire.
Thinly sliced onion under the cheese can sometimes hit the spot.

No cheese on toast option. Important to be able to choose. Poll essential, but controversy difficult to stir up.

Do not waste good cheese on toast on kopites, unless they are close relations, when it may be unavoidable. You can give them very mild cheddar, cheese spread or spray cheese in a can as they are not very sophisticated.

Lancashire is the correct answer.
If you can't crumble it, it ain't proper cheese. Forget graters.

I would … but spending 4 days in bed with severe cramps and vomiting ain’t worth no type of cheese
Ooh that's nasty. Stay away from cheese!

There seems to be a lot of allergies related to food these days. I don't remember it like this when I was a kid. Makes you wonder about the use of chemicals in animals, crops, processing etc. People can be intolerant to organically grown food, but still, it seems to be on the rise.

Personally I don’t eat cheese but I’m told white Cheshire cheese, grated and toasted to just before burning is delicious with tomato sauce
Not had any in years so no right to respond really, but come on m8. ketchup on cheese on toast that's just wrong !!

I can’t stomach cheese, butter, margarine, milk (unless in a tea or coffee) , most yoghurts ( I can sometimes eat a muller rice)….. weirdly though I can have semi skimmed milk with cereal … can’t eat no creams or dressings that contain cream though… food can be a bit bland at times
