No to be honest.
We played not to lose, and were totally outplayed by Chelsea all over the park.
Our goals were fortunate, and our left and right side rubbish.
Pienaar was lethargic, and Billy was a waste of space.
Fellaini played well, and a few others played ok, but as a team, we looked like kids against men to be fair.
Played not to lose but scored 3 goals (however flukey) and had 2 strikers up top all game?
First half we pressed well and it was an open game. They had a 10minute spell and scored twice from basically their only shots on target. We passed it around well, kept it on the floor and missed out a few killer balls mainly from Jo who didnt see the pass.
Saha missed a few headers also, Baines whipping one of many good crosses in the day - Jo had a good shot saved from Cech. We had made some good progress in the wings and from set-pieces where Chelsea just looked all over the show when anything went into their box.
2nd half, yes, we were pinned back. But with a new centre half pairing and Fellaini/Rodwell partnership in the middle we coped very well. They never opened the team up.
After the 1st and 2nd goal we looked like we were going to get slaughtered but after that they didnt create much - long shots blocked and a few mis-placed headers. We didnt do much either and soaked it up, but I think we need those games so the players can prove they can dig in without the leaders like Cahill, Jags and Neville on the pitch.
When you've got Saha on form and even Yak...they're there to latch onto any chance and they did. The midfield looks balanced (although Neville or Heiginta should be in for Rodders), as does the strike force. At the back is where we're shaky, with Hibbo still not good enough, and our centre back pairing changing every week.
1st half we played very well and deserved to be drawing.
2nd half we were pinned back and held on for a draw even without them creating that many chances.
That's the way I see it. And we barely hoofed unless it was stuck in our box
