The ONLY way this can be a good decision is if Howard has the game of his life and keeps a clean sheet.

I just don't see the point in that decision tbh. He knows he's gonna take a crap load of stick from the fans if we concede a few tonight.

The Barry situation is getting out of hand.

Doing all he can to shoehorn Naismith into the team is just funny. He must be phenomenal in training.

Howard, Coleman, Stones, Jagielka, Oviedo, Besic, Barry, Lennon, Naismith, Barkley, Lukaku

Subs: Robles, Gibson, Kone, Mirallas, McCarthy, Garbutt, Alcaraz.

Not really. He doesn't have any backbone. At all.

I don't agree with Robles being dropped, but not sure how this shows he has no backbone?

If anything it shows he HAS a backbone, no? He's taking a massive risk by doing this and knows the fans don't agree with it, so he's obviously willing to take the added heat if it doesn't pay off.

What bullshit. Dropping Joel, playing Barkley AND Naismith ffs. Because it's BOUND to work in it's 20th iteration..

To be fair if we're playing 4-3-3, then both Barkley and Naismith will be in natural positions.

If we're playing 4-2-3-1 with one of them on the left then by all means fume away.

If your keeper keeps 3 clean sheets on the bounce, surely even a resurgent Pat Jennings doesn't just walk back in if available? Let alone has been Howard who doesn't even make saves any more. Such a weird thing to do.

Also towards the end of the derby, there seemed to be some shape to the team for the first time in absolute ages, this line up screams of imbalance again.

Ah well, prove us all wrong Bobby
