Same old same old. Everton will fizzle out into 7th. All our hopes rest on the cup, just can't see us getting a result away to any big team.

We need the top class quality the others teams bar spurs have and we just won't get it.

Its all too predictable.

I still think the January transfer window has cost us big time. Credit where it's due though Naismith has done a decent enough job leading the front line, it's not his fault he just lacks that extra bit of quality we need.

Could tell from the way the freekick was set up that Howard was going to need to do something. The best players are decisive in the big moments, no one took control.

Same old, Same old we miss early chances and run out of steam - Barkley was so poor what did he do? his pass out of play when on the break - Mageedy was our only effective substitute who looked like anything decent was it a dive for the free kick? TH had a good game but SSN state in maybe given as an own goal! he does not command his box good shot stopper end of!

i thought howard could have come out for the freekick in his six yard box but its easy to say watching it on the tv.
little things change games, 2 minutes before their freekick/goal barkley picks the ball up on his own with deulofeu running the line, one pass and he's clear, barckley passes into touch. this is one example of numerous final passes we mess up in a game.

That's not really what I'd take from the game. It's exactly what I expected. We gave Chelsea a good test but in the end lacked the quality to really hurt them.

That's been the story for a long time now.

we had nothing in attack because all 3 of our strikers are injured.

Got to say they dominated our midfield 2nd half. Its like we decided not to close them down.

Managed to beat them in their worse season for 20 years when they were in midtable, a few weeks after WBA managed it also.

This result shows our weaknesses Naismith as much as he tries is a bottom half PL/championship striker,we need Lukaku plus a type of player like Sturridge, we are going to finish 6/7th and on performance stats will will have been much better than Liverpool,spurs,man utd, but they all have strikers that score.Spurs got lucky having Adebayor just sitting there to use have Liverpool lost Suarez they would be many points less.We deserve better but that's the way it goes I always knew if r had injuries we would suffer big style and we have.There isn't much much work to do with our side,but what needs doing is going to cost a fortune 30million Atleast and then we will need a good 2 loans again.We are good but you need goals we just can't score them.
