However most of the chances created were from crosses

The best opportunity was when davies slipped the ball through to lookman who should have shot it first time, instead he took a few touches and the angle towards the goal got narrower

Just been let down by our defence

Two very experienced centre backs who are fundamentally shaky at doing the basics now. Second half they did much better but we had most of the ball. Going forward there's no reason we can't turn this run of form around based on today. We had the better chances to win in my opinion, mirallas and Rooney should have bagged. Most important thing is that was an everton performance, desire, effort, organisation and some genuinely good togger thrown in. Well played blues.

Disappointed to have lost that. Really bad organisation for the first goal and their second was a moment of quality that, on the balance of play, they didn't even deserve. At least we gave the fans something to cheer with the DCL goal (good work from Niasse in the buildup) and it was nice to hear the away fans singing at the end there.

A better performance if, ultimately, still a defeat. Young Beni played well, very composed and worked hard, so credit to him.

The second half was our best football since febuary. We our only to naive. Defending like on the second goal is schoolboy stuff.
