That was a hard fought point won, and a massive confidence booster. I went for Gylfi for MoM with a special mention for Morata for his incredible knack of being caught offside consistently lollol.

Mr Friend was diabolical giving yellow cards for nothing and missing obvious reds. Alonso's potential leg breaker on Walcott didn't even award a free kick for that never mind a card. Compare that to an immediate yellow to Mina for a relatively innocuous ankle tap on Hazard, and the Bernard incident. Add to that the potential penalty against Chelsea for the handball, Chelsea got away with that game. Well done the Toffees :pint2:

cardiff are woeful away from home

if we can give gomes, richy and siggy an extra week's rest ahead of the derby then im up for that, tosun, davies and lookman are more than capable of disposing cardiff

Never field a weaker team to save players for a another match. It never works out unless you are a top 4 team. Doesn't guarantee anything apart from being weaker and giving the opposition a better chance.

decent performance, a lot better than the usual ev that turn up against top teams. first half was open then the last 15 mins we held for the point. pickford mom again for me

i think the international break will be good for us, there was a few players hobbling about at the end, hoping that they can recover in time for the next match

Voted Yerry Mina as MOTM. To make a first premier league start away to Chelsea and look like he's been playing in England for years (don't forget, the lad doesn't even speak English!!) is very impressive and bodes well for his future with us.
yeah, he was very impessive. first start, chelsea away, tidy proper and positive football.
All positive. really exiciting watching Blues this season

I don't think we kept the ball well enough to be an effective offensive threat today, especially in the second half, but our team structure and defensive performance were outstanding for the most part.

It's a shame that our wide players had the kind of games they did today, both had tremendous opportunities if their first touch was better.

I though Gana was MOTM with Pickford a close second. The ref was useless, that Jorginho challenge was an absolute stonewall red card, it literally checked every single box for a red card. The Alonso challenge was probably a red too.

It is very RS to moan and whine about refs but they have been crap in the main for this season, right from that garbage red card they gave to Jagielka in game one at Wolves. Useless bells.

No need to rest 3 of them,Just rest Gomes and all chemistry in midfield will go.I bet team will be 50% weker.
Sometimes it is not about players but chemistry&harmony
