Gone for Doucs MOTM just because of the goal and assist. Simms will be more relaxed next time he gets a chance, he’s up and running now. Also, fair play to Dyche. At 1-0 we could have just crumbled we actually went 442 to try and salvage something. Luckily Doucs scored because Davies was about to come on. Ben Godfrey was probably the worst player on any pitch today, he was lost.

Genuine determination to scrape points any way possible for what feels like the first time in years. We are still relying on set pieces and moments of individual quality (McNeil, Gray, Simms), but suppose that’s what football is outside the real elite squads; solid framework and hope the individuals show up to create and score. So nice not hating them every weekend. And it’s the same squad getting pummelled by Bournmouth, twice.
