Chelsea v Inter

It will be interesting to see who Inter get next. I wouldn't say either Arsenal or United are that strong, and certainly beatable. The stand out team are Barca, and Inter look weak down their left flank. Much as I love Zanetti, he's no left back. You'd have to think Messi and Alves would run riot down that flank.

What would you say to Mourinho succeeding Ferguson mate?

Serie A used to be galactico, the footie was always [Poor language removed] though.

He's a born winner. If i was running a top football team, he'd be the first name on my list as manager.

Italian football is pretty dire these days. I've watched quite a bit of it, and there really aren't any decent players coming through there now.

Barca are struggling at the moment, its not beyond the realms of possibility that they could get knocked out themselves.

Sneijder this match and Cambiasso in the first leg were MOM.

They look a solid outfit, but Chelsea have been woeful in defence all season and Inter knew it. They needed Carvalho and Ashley Cole in a game like tonight. They were pulled all over the shop and needed way too much cover from midfield.

Luchio was a monster the 1st leg.

I didn't know of any outcome until after it had finished, that's usually how it is, but was surprised to learn of what happened.

to think that these came within one kick of winning the European Cup just two years ago, and was it Terry who missed it, little snide prick that one, maybe the gods knew what was to follow with his extra marital affairs and decided he should pay there and then.

Haven't seen Inter in a semi-final for a few years now, actually come to think of it they were in the last four in 2005 I think, but due to crowd trouble, Milan were given a bye to the final, what happened after that is best not brought to mind.

Actually strictly speaking I'm not sure who the last winners of the old European Cup were, it's all 'Champions league' now, where you can finish in 3rd or 4th place and still be in with a chance of being the best of the best.

bloody nonsense that is.

Champions of respective countries only damn it.

Not for me Chico

Style of football and all that ( Having said that inter were superb tonight)

Could Mouriniho develop the youth players or has he only won stuff with a big chequebook ????

If Ferdinand and Vidic are fit he won't be in the first team, and I don't think he's that good anyway. On a par with their recent graduates like Richardson and O'Shea. Decent squad men but not anywhere near the Scholes generation.

For a long time now he's been buying in young talent rather than developing it in house. Ronaldo, Nani, Anderson, Rooney, the two Brazilian lads at full back, he poached Rossi and the other Italian striker ready made from Serie A, Pique likewise from Barca and is now sniffing around Rodwell.
