....supposed to be the Irish banker. I genuinely have it @25-1 ante-post. It’s a high class flat horse and the rare thing is that it’s an ‘entire’, so it jumps hurdles with its Crown Jewels intact.
The bloke I know who studies French form (gave me Concierta today which came 2nd @ 66-1) has been going on about Pic D’orhy all season. He reckons it’s a real superstar but it’s never run in this country. It had a set back a month ago and looked like it would miss the Festival but Nicholls has got it ready. I’ve backed it at 16-1 and 12-1. Regardless of what it does tomorrow, I think Pic D’orhy is one to watch.
....I love that horse. I couldn’t work out what race it might run in, so I backed it 18-1 to win ‘any race’ and 27-1 to win the Ryanair. I was surprised the Gold Cup was targeted because I thought it might struggle with the distance, but Mullins is convinced it will stay. He actually ran it in last years Irish National, but it fell at the first.
Fabulous horse, lots of question marks over its jumping but there’s no doubt about the talent.
