What did you have for tea mate?Just looking from the outside - and this is not post match gloating - but Everton dont seem to have an identity these days.
The side I remember from the 1980s were fast and aggressive - but could play a bit too.

This is a good metaphor for life man. It’s up and then it’s down but ultimately we have no control over it so we may as well enjoy the futility, as a spectator.Watching Saints ain’t been easy over the last 45 years- but we enjoy the few good days we get and have learnt to accept all the misery that comes our way
@chicoazul how have you roped in an Evertonian in a Southampton bait thread? Some game.So how many league points did winning the preview get us?
Entertainment of the wind-up?
Dumb as F, but whatever floats your boat.
Yeh, but if some days were misery, other days were more misery, and the rest of the days were far worse than misery, I guess you wouldn't view the football world with such equanimity, mate. Welcome to Everton!Watching Saints ain’t been easy over the last 45 years- but we enjoy the few good days we get and have learnt to accept all the misery that comes our way
My son was at Liverpool uni it’s a great city and whilst there visiting for a weekend I did the park run ( I think it was in Princes Park if I recall).
I always wondered who the biggest supported club is in Liverpool itself and after the park run i got chatting to an Evertonian who suggested it was about 50 50? I guess it’s hard to calculate.
I mention this because I am doing some research and ultimately a paper on Englands football clubs and ranking them in order of size- I’m looking at historical data - taking into account attendance, trophies won, European success and finishing positions.
I’m going right back to the formation of the football league in the 1880s - it was Villa, Sunderland, Preston and Everton who were the dominant forces back in those very early days.
Be interested to hear the thoughts of you Evertonians?

There is disappointment in yesterday's performance, not despair, and my investment has been almost 3 decades. It’s a sport, mush. Your investment in Everton is relative to your despair.
Join me in condemning Everton and wishing relegation to see us all free.
You’re hurting and I am here to help you mush. I’ve more decades than you so can use my superior bloo experience to guide you through a sports team losing. Free of char. There is disappointment in yesterday's performance, not despair, and my investment has been almost 3 decades.
So please if you want to be all flowery and poetic, at least make sense, mush...

I have to say the speed at which Chico can log out, log in as Tenga, post, log out and back in as Chico to reply is quite decent. This is a good metaphor for life man. It’s up and then it’s down but ultimately we have no control over it so we may as well enjoy the futility, as a spectator.
I don’t do multis mush.I have to say the speed at which Chico can log out, log in as Tenga, post, log out and back in as Chico to reply is quite decent.
Certainly faster than Michael Keane is able to turn his body anyway.
