Use it as an excuse to start listening to some of his stuff. If you're not into heavier stuff, I highly recommend songbook, which is essentially MTV unplugged. Also, higher truths is a great album.

Was a grunge kid in my teens and a big Soundgarden fan. Never saw them live, but hoped to.. The Temple Of The Dog album was a constant on my Walkman for a couple of years.
Supposed to have been a real gent too.
