Never knew that Muamba's heart was stopped for 83 min. I've gotten rhythms after 30-40min of CPR/defibs/epi (granted on old people) and I don't think 1 ever left the ICU.

Seems like Eriksen could play w/ a defib as long as taking a ball to the left shoulder at 50mph is something you could do. If he develops an abn rhythm, say a-fib and has to go on blood thinners, I'm 99% sure he'd have to retire.

Google shows that there are players with pacemakers/ defibrillators implanted at the highest level. I never knew that.

I still remain amazed that a guy who looked like he was dead just a couple of months ago is making a realistic attempt at playing top level football.

My cap is well and truly doffed to all those involved in making and implementing such medical advances to those who need them.

There are a few with them fitted but not many that have actually had a heart attack before hand.
