Just been in shopping, there's christmas trees up and the christmas chocolates are all on display... it's still September FFS there's a quarter of the year left before christmas.

I've heard store owners say it's for people who may want to get their christmas bits and pieces early as it could be a struggle financially for some to do it all in December which is fair enough, but are the decorations around shops really required? The Christmas music will start just after Halloween..
If you want to sell a few christmas bits so be it, but pick an out of the way corner and don't put it in the prime locations, also leave out the music and decorations until December.
