Letting someone know you care, is a good thing. :)
It's a little thing. I owe him he taught me a lot about engineering in the last few years. He has a lot of good stories to tell too.

It's not as if he's alone. I called around earlier in the week and gatecrashed another Christmas party he was having with 3 old ladies and one of their daughters from the close we live in! 🤣

See where appreciation of the ladies can get yer? Guys running fantasy island ffs...

Been getting through a bottle of that cinnamon-flavoured Jack Daniel's (actually quite decent), and have loads of beers in - including a keg from a local brewery. Also have a few single malts in from my visit to the old country earlier in the year, but might hold off on those until Hogmanay. Then again, the Mother-in-Law's coming for Christmas, so they may see active service a bit sooner than expected.

Haven’t got going on the Christmas tipple yet as we don’t get our food shop delivered till tomorrow but I’ll be having my usual bottles of Kopparberg during the big day, my first drinks since the summer

The Scandi side of the family (half) dictates we open Xmas Eve; I think it was just so we can get our drink on. Planning on getting swirly on Paloma's. Not really a cold weather tipple but we're going full SouthWest for dinner and they go oh so well with Mexican food. Quality tequila won't give you a raging hangover either, typically, so the new AARP members of the fam will approve.

If you've never had a Paloma, you're missin' out...right up there with a Margarita but less work.
