The rain, it raineth every day
What will you be stuffing your face on, and drinking to escape the scurrying children and multitudinous relatives ?
I will mainly bedrinking sloe gin, and eating far too many sausage rolls, liqueur chocolates, fancy bubbles and mince pies

Will be in San Diego for Christmas and New Year so no traditional fare for us
We will ( well me mainly ) however be drinking plenty of beer from San Diego’s many micro breweries.
My good lady is fond of a Hendricks gin and fever tree tonic.
Food will be mainly seafood and the like.
We have done of fair share of fancy restaurants and posh food and don’t think it’s worth it any more
Plain simple well priced meals for us now.

Sorry my taste buds like it. I’ll have a word.

It's probably the sweetness you like (not being patronising, I worked as a 'mixologist' for a long time).

Amaretto is a very cheap, poor quality spirit and is notorious for bad hangovers. (the better quality of alcohol, the lesser the hangover)

You should try something like Jim Beam Red Stag, or Southern Comfort Cherry if you like the sweet taste. More premium brands and quite pleasant with the right mixer.

I've become quite the addict to Amaretto recently. Don't even care what brand it is.

My local ran out of JD one night, so we started drinking that instead, neat, with ice.

I've developed quite a taste for it too.

The only problem is that you get a mad sugar rush with it, due to the bonkers sugar content in it.
