It's probably the sweetness you like (not being patronising, I worked as a 'mixologist' for a long time).

Amaretto is a very cheap, poor quality spirit and is notorious for bad hangovers. (the better quality of alcohol, the lesser the hangover)

You should try something like Jim Beam Red Stag, or Southern Comfort Cherry if you like the sweet taste. More premium brands and quite pleasant with the right mixer.

Probs just stick to what I know I like at the moment.

Southern Comfort Cherry sounds very VERY interesting though.

Here's another weird one that shouldn't work but does :

Jack Daniels and Lilt, with loads of ice.

Sounds disgusting, but it's like a JD fruit cocktail and is really easy to drink.

Therein lies the problem
If it tastes like lemonade I’ll drink it at the same speed as lemonade.
It’s why me and spirits came to an amicable parting of the ways years ago.
Whiskey neat is a drink that tastes like a drink so it’s only fit to be sipped

You can't beat a cider-ronno.

Thats a disaronno and coke mixed with Old Mout kiwi lime cider.

Much better than some tit sticking an unwanted piece of fruit in your drink.
