It’s ridiculous, and a double whammy. Not only have you (and my missus) had to keep working another 6 years, but you’re still paying NI contributions during that 6 years. Cannot believe a government that was headed by a woman at that time didn’t reach a fairer compromise on this, 63 say. It must have alienated so many women Tory voters.

No probs, actually I can't really complain, I have worked part time jobs alongside each other for other 30 years and never earnt enough in each job to pay any tax or NI. Luckily the years I claimed Child Benefit they contribute NI so as long as I pay 65 pounds before 2027 I can still get full pension
