Citeh can attract big name stars...Although £220K a week helps.

Sure, but they were ze big spenders of the day. Spunking loads on socceristas doesn't guarantee [Poor language removed].

Newcastle spent lots of money on [Poor language removed], overrated players.

City aren't. They are actually buying quality. They are scaring me

David Silva, Carlos Tevez.

Obviously quality players.

Not quite the same as paying £6 mil for Joey Barton

Laughing here, what absolute teds. The house of card will come tumbling, put your money on it.

This.

It didn't last in the USA (banking). It didn't last in Europe (sovereign debt) and it's not gonna last in football.

In a word:

Unsustainable.

So I guess Lescott gets to count his money from the stands for another season eh?

Mercenaries.

Next, not even worried. There gonna buy the League, it'l happen, bound to with all the doh there spending. Hate City, but bored about worrying at the money there spending. Was the same last year and we took 6 points off them and battered them twice. Cahill is gonna eat Toure up and Johnny H is harder than any City player

FACHT

The minute they break that half a billion pound spendin on players, and wages goin up to 300k a week, fifa and the fa will come down on em like a ton of bricks youll get united and chelsea havin a whinge and the fa will do something about it...wage caps job lot.
Then all their players will do one as the torries start pushin up taxes

Totally! Just like when they put the smackdown on Chelsea and banned them from from bringing in players in the transfer window. Oh wait a minute. Though to be honest throwing billions at players is no different than what Real and Barca do.

To be fair...yeah they began the push already started by Man United (which they earnt by winning things) but staggered their mega spends over years. Something like £300million over 5 years when Abramovich came in, all spent by one of the best managers in the world. Now days Chelsea havent spent hardly anything for the past 3 seasons. They were also attracting decent talent before they got the cash injection - Di Matteo, Zola etc.

Citeh are hitting £300million in 2 seasons, knocking the wages bills up to ridiculous standards causing players to come over for free lunches and big pay days, with an average manager - already on their 2nd since the "revolution" game to power. This from a team with no history who were in divison 2 not long back.

Big difference.

Chelsea have spent 1 Billion pounds on clearing debt, salaries and player fees since they were taken over.

It's just that we are used to it now.

Remember when Blackburn Rovers bought an entire team over the summer and won the league?

It's still 11 v 11 no matter how much they pay their players every week.

As Germany have proven, big names mean nothing. It's all about playing well as a team.

Instead of squad numbers the other players, everytime they look at a team mate, will see weekly wages.

It will all be fun and games, untill they get spanked at Bolton 1 week then the cracks will start.

No heart and no passion.
