CL final: An all PL affair?

Player Valuation: Pssssht
Right now, Liverpool are embarrassing Real Madrid with about a half hour to go. Chelsea are up on Juve on aggregate. MU will likely dispatch Inter tomorrow. Gunners are still alive. From what's left, I don't see a side that could really challenge the top PL squads. Maybe Barca, maybe Roma? Doubt it.

I looks to me like it will be another all PL affair in the Champions League final again this year.

My questions are these:
1. Is this proof that the PL is the best and strongest league in the world?
2. What are you guys' picks for the CL final?

Obviously, we can't be held to these picks, depending on the draw. If I pick MU and Liverpool to meet in the final, and they meet in the semifinal instead, then there goes that. I guess what I mean, what two teams do you think have the best chance at making it to the final?

For me, I'm thinking MU (they seem unstoppable right now, save their soon exit from the FA Cup) and the Red****e. As they always crap out in their hunt for league titles, they seem to be able to handle this CL stuff quite well.

Anyway ... discuss amongst yourselves.

Hope Barca will recapture their awesome form of earlier this season. Would love to see an in form and full strength Barca and Man Uttd have a go at eachother. If so, I put my money on Barcelona.

Whatever two teams finish 1-2 in the PL, I'd like to see them meet in the CL final, just like last year. Something like a winner-take-all showdown. Of all the rest of the teams left, like the above poster, I'd like to see Barca in there.

It means the only 5 teams in the world who have the money to compete with MU, red cow dung, Chelsea and Arsenal are Inter, Milan, Barca, Madrid and Juve.

Juve is rebuilding due to match fixing, Milan is fat and old, Inter is similar to Chelsea only not as good, and Madrid is slow and have an awful back 4.

Barca is the only team that can compete with the "big 4" but they are in a bad patch and I think their defense is vunerable to teams that play in the counterattack (Chelsea, liverpool).

i hope it's barca in the final as i will be over there, would make for a good night out in barcelona, i dont want the shoite anywhere near it but would be great to take a big flag to a big square to see the game and be as anti r/s as possible.
i could post lots of pics as well (if i remember my password this year)

My questions are these:
1. Is this proof that the PL is the best and strongest league in the world?

Yes, i feel the English Premier League is the best and strongest in Europe at least. What give English clubs the advantage is the quickness to close down. You only had to look at Real Madrid tonight and how much time they wanted in posession. You dont get that amount of time playing against English teams.

2. What are you guys' picks for the CL final?

Hopefully Barcelona v Manchester United/ Arsenal/Chelsea. Would hate to see Liverpool getting drawn against the two latter teams because they would most likely advance to the semi's. Being paired with United in the next round would be a different matter though.

RS v Chelsea

You just cant see them lot getting beat in Europe its crazy

myself, Danny Baker got it right before, the only tough game for a PL team will be another English based team. piss poor competition if your not involved i have no interest in it because i reckon the ruination of genuine competition in the league in this country(n)

I dont quite understand this bit. Is ruination a misspelling of urination or a word I've never come across?
