Right lads, that's me out (not out out) or Kopite out, but frankly can't be bothered with the Witchhunt, I love the constructive debate, but don't have the energy for the rest. As I mentioned, like a lot of you I have too much stress with Covid testing, 4&1/2 weeks in full lockdown & much more. It saddens me that I have been bullied by the few on here and remind you for the final time, it is one of your own you removed. There is an irony in having a thread pinned on Mental health and depression on here, while a pile on over a different viewpoint is very much a theme.
You have incorrectly put me in the same bucket as Keiran, which is insulting in itself, but also shows that a minor few of you can't see the difference between his idiocy and a slightly different point of view. I'll continue to argue (if/when we get back to the pub
) that the best possible outcome is a completed season & in return, I will give the reasons why there is no way this will, can or should happen.Particular thanks to @catcherintherye, I have really enjoyed the exchanges & while we disagreed alot, I think both of us are in agreement that void is the most likely option & IMHO, the fairest option should the season not finish.

PS - on an entirely seperate note, some of you argued I must be a kopite because I don't like Pickford. If you continue to faith in Pickford, you should just give it up today, you don't understand Football. He is not a top half keeper, never mind a top class one.

How unfair is it really? So much football has been played, and only Man City and Villa have a game in hand. This was a game that was 90% likely to see Villa end up with the worst form in the league. If you look at West Ham, they had an absolutely horrible run of games, but managed to stay out of the relegation zone. They were also improving at a noticeable rate and I think would have finished lower mid-table in the end.
We had an outside chance of Europe, but on the other hand I doubt we would have made it. I know Liverpool winning the league will be a boot in the nuts, but there is hardly going to be the toe-curling open top bus tour now, so its not as bad as it would have been.
The best thing all round is for them to cancel the season now and make the current standings final in my opinion. I also favour the idea of bringing up the top two from the Champo and having no relegation this season as a consolation for those at the bottom.

Give them more games next season
Could work. Would mean Friday and Saturday night games all the time though as they are the only free times.
Also the money each team gets each time they are on would have to be less to share out the extra games equally.

We should be aiming to start next season in good order, not faffing about with this one. It is already compromised sportingly due to the long layoffs, and it is still unlikely it can be completed before what should be the start of next season.

As someone I worked with noted today. We are not just Working From home for a while, we are in the middle of a pandemic health crisis and managing to get by by working from home. Similarly because we are in a pandemic health crisis, the 2019/20 season doesn't really matter. We will do our best but in itself playing out the season is neither the problem, the solution or the objective we face in this crisis!
