Been saying for awhile that my own personal view is the reaction to coronavirus has been way over the top. Of course any death of a family member is horrible but for the vast majority of people you will get mild symptoms. The constant 24 hr reporting of the daily death rates and stories of relatives who havel lost loved ones has only caused increased anxiety. Finally a report from the bbc with figures stating just that: the vast majority will only get flu like symptoms. We dont need to crash our economy
Coronavirus: Is it time to free the healthy from restrictions?
Ministers are looking at how to ease the lockdown. How cautious should they be?www.bbc.co.uk
The 'healthy' may only be 'healthy' Because of the restrictions...just a thought.Been saying for awhile that my own personal view is the reaction to coronavirus has been way over the top. Don't I? The reason was to prevent the transmission of the virus and prevent the NHS being swamped. Most of the 30000 who hav died so far have been over 70 with 2 or 3 underlying conditions. Many in care have died with covid not of covid so may have died anyway. The next group 49-70 have been mostly with underlying conditions like obese. Between 20-49 a couple of hundred deaths and under 20 maybe about 15 deaths. So is it far to keep people with no underlying conditions under 70 under lockdown. For me no for you possibly yes. Let's crash the economy. As th BBC article says would it not be better to keep the vulnerable- estimated letters sent out about 1.5 millions which includes 2 of my immediate family under lockdown till a vaccine becomes available while younger people get on with their lives. For me As I said personally yes. Professor Ferguson who has just resigned from sage after meeting his married lover,. Did the modelling of 250000 deaths if lockdown didn't take place. This panicked the government into lockdown. Thus is the same guy who said 250000 deaths if no lockdown cos of foot and mouth. No lockdown and 4 deaths. Also said similar about SARS which resulted in very little deaths in the UK. But if you can explain it better okI don't think you quite grasp the reason behind the lockdown.
Years of underfunding of the NHS by the Tory party has meant that we were underprepared to deal with the Coronavirus.Been saying for awhile that my own personal view is the reaction to coronavirus has been way over the top. If there had not been a lockdown there would hsv been more deaths. But if only the vulnerable had been told to shield who knows. 40000 excess deaths in 2014 in the UK.from cold weather 1968.hong Kong flu 80000 deaths in the UK over 4 months. No.lockdownThe 'healthy' may only be 'healthy' Because of the restrictions...just a thought.
Nearly all are from the vulnerable group. Check the stats yrself. I know of people in care homes who have died if something else but we're tested and were positive with coronavirus. This goes on the the death certificate along with the other cause. Coronavirus is reportable to the government so it adds to the figures even though that person died of something else. Google Hong Kong flu see how many people died in the UK and not a hint of a lockdownSo from the people that have died so far in the UK are they all from that 1.5m vulnerable group? No.
What does this mean? That you can't accurately segregate those that might get this and die and thus you can't just let the vast majority run wild and free in a country that's proven to lack the resources to tackle an epidemic in full force.
You also have zero proof on the bold.
I'm 28 and even I think you're being stupid here.
No thats not ok. All I'm saying is should fit and healthy people be stopped from doing their jobs etc when the vast majority of people who have died have been over 70 and lots of underlying conditions. We should shield those vulnerable groups while letting the group's who are hardly affected get on with the livesAh right.
That's OK then.
I'm not even going there. If there had not been a lockdown there would hsv been more deaths. But if only the vulnerable had been told to shield who knows. 40000 excess deaths in 2014 in the UK.from cold weather 1968.hong Kong flu 80000 deaths in the UK over 4 months. No.lockdown
