Footys been dead for a while mate, but you ain’t wrong about these rules being for the money clubs to keep their noses in the trough, and it’s uefa coddling and pacifying the scab12 and Barca, real, man united and the RS in particular, so the esl doesn’t come back - sporting merit doesn’t matter now, the genie is out the bottle.

Well, obviously the rules have been changed so only the last 5 years count. So basically you have super league in all but name.

UEFA should have absolutely nailed them all and kicked them out of the competitions after the ESL debacle, but they are absolutely terrified of them all, and did nothing.

The footballing authorities globally are a disgrace tbh.

Although that said, given that I don't expect Everton to be near the top four in the Premier League in my lifetime, if we are able to return to the top division in the next few seasons, I find the Europa League every bit as exciting as the Champions League, even if this latest development is wrong and is a disgrace.

Speaking as a United fan i find this latest idea ridiculous , we have no divine right to win or qualify for anything the whole thing is about money and tv revenues , the last few years we have not deserved anything because we have been very average and at times garbage , MUFC for ever though

They’ll be doing away with relegation for the top 6 soon, we will end up with some thing like the nfl.
