Cold and Flu remedies

Obviously there’s loads of foods and viruses around at the moment, they’re miserable, draining and just not very nice. What remedies do you use to help alleviate symptoms ? Personally, I just stick to the tried and tested method of paracetamol and ibuprofen plus drink plenty of fluids and then just ride it out. I do have a pack of menthol lockets today though as my nose is blocked and these help. Do you guys have any other suggestions of what may help ?

Stuff that doesn’t include juice of my mar, or essence of dad … you know.

Just realised this makes no sense as the word Flu has corrected itself to food for some reason. Oh well.
