Coldest ground

Not sure if it's the ground but the coldest I have ever been was Odsal in Bradford, ended up sitting on the generators powering a big screen for the second half to warm my frozen arse up.

Pearse Park, Galway, never experienced cold like it at a game, unsheltered from the Atlantic Ocean with a sea breeze that would cut you in half, been at games there in the depts of winter.

Coldest ground has to be Gayfield Park in Arbroath. Its always freezing especially in winter as its literally right next to the North Sea and you get the winds and fog. Although its baltic its still the best away day

It’s a nightmare that ground, especially when it rains. Gotta be one of the worst grounds I’ve attended.

Two that stand out was Hannover 96 game, was minus 4 and was freezing during a game in February. The wind was non stop and the chill off it wasn’t a nice experience. Second was Legia Warsaw ground. Was stood on the back row and its open, was raining, very windy and cold. The place itself is just gloomy. Was a horrible experience.

Cold one at Goodison was against West Ham when they had Tevez and Mascharano. Was sat on the front row of the upper bullens, was a Sunday and just a very cold day. We won 2-0 I think with goals from Osman and James Vaughan but just remember how cold it was.

Totally agree. Never been so cold. My wife and I had free tickets and left at HT. 0-1 to Ross. Got to the car to drive home and heard them cheer in two goals.

Got back to the house to catch the last 20 v Bournemouth with us two up. Stanislas equalised, then oh how I cheered the Ross Barkley goal on 95 minutes. Stanislas delivered an almighty kick to the nads on 98.
Started going there when I was 8. You never truly get used to your ribcage acting like a wind chime

That AZ Alkmaar game, everyone was singing that 'never felt more like singing the blues..' song for the whole 90, jumping up and down just trying to stay warm.

Most American stadiums do not have any protection from the elements. My wife (5 months pregnant at the time) and I stood and yelled through an MLS playoff match in Dallas with the temperature not much above freezing and rain pelting down for the last 40+ minutes. Our team won, but then after the postmatch celebrations we had to walk half a mile back to the parking lot for the traveling supporters. She didn’t come along on any more “adventures” for quite awhile after that.

Remember going to watch a match a couple of seasons ago at Flint Town. It was snowing and so cold the flame on my lighter froze. After about 25 mins my mate kev disappeared and came back shirt while later with 2 burgers, I thought he’d got us one each but truthfully he said he hadn’t bought them to eat, he was just holding them to warm his hands up 😂
