Great midfielder never got the recognition he deserved at international level, the then England manager got it all wrong, should have used the BHK as the midfield in every game.

Best goal ever - Burnden Park.
I was 12 at the time of that semi, never went to the game but sure I can remember the winning goal by Colin shown as the opening to the BBC news that night poss after Grandstand finished , wonderful player for us.

Yep Andy, along with the 1985 team,we probably only have Colin,Joe and the Vision as our living legends sadly, apologies if I've missed anyone out.

Derek Temple is still around Dario, often at the games, used to sit about six seats from me in MS2 but he's moved now.
Jimmy Husband, John Hurst and Tony Kaye are still with us and I think Fred Pickering is, but the last time I saw him he looked rather unwell.

Derek Temple, great memories his cup final goal is prob my favourite goal of all time coming back from 2 down was brilliant

Played Sheff Wed after getting the title in '70. Won 1 - 0. Anyone remember the pass Harvey hit to Morrissey on the volley? MOTD commentator nearly swooned it was so good.

Yep,still see Derek in the Main Stand mate,Fred Pickering looked to be struggling on his legs last time I saw him too as you said.

Will never forget the winner to against West Brom to seal the title in 69/70 fabulous goal on a great occasion also scored the winner with a bit of a scuffed shot against MUtd at Burnden Park Bolton on a dreadful pitch to send us to Wembley in 66 . So many great memories of watching him play. Truly great footballer who Alf Ramsey gave 1 cap to against Malta, still riles me to this day! He preferred the over- rated , in my opinion, Alan Mullery, who really wasn't fit to tie Harvey's laces. (But then Ramsey didn't see fit to give Kendall any caps at all, amazing how long grudges last)!

As Great as Harvey is, I wager the objective view would have Big Nev above him if we have to rank the pantheon.
Nah. No way. Harvey as player, coach, manager and ambassador for Everton is way ahead. And Neville is probably the best player I ever saw for Everton, but Harvey is on a different level.
I think this will probably be different for all.

My thoughts are firstly that they're about equal alongside Joe Royle, but secondly, for me I'd rather not 'rank' such men.

They're all legends for me.
