Scouse comedy is funny when you’re in the pub or with just mates, taking the mick out of each other or someone else

Forced into a stand up set, it’s rarely funny

Especially not these new ones that just go “DYA SELL LEMO DO YA YEAH? MAD THAT LAD. BOSS TEETH.”
Scouse wit is based on spontaneity, not rehearsed and overheard from someone else

Jesus. I’d never heard of this guy, so YouTubed him, and it’s some of the worst comedy I’ve ever seen. All crowd work, and based on taking the p!ss out of the front row. I thought his p!sstaking was unfunny and nasty. Sure some might like this, but not for me at all.

I went to see Omid Djalili a couple months ago in a small theatre in Bristol.

I've always wanted to sit in the front row at a comedy gig but I didn't want a full roasting either.

I chose Omid because he's hilarious and seems like a nice guy. In the end he used me I'm a couple of punchlines that he obviously needed for his act but he did everything in such a warm manner I really enjoyed it. Even came and said hello and shook my hand after he finished.

Absolutely lovely guy as well as being very funny.
