It's an amazing piece of technology. Been playing it nonstop since release. Im not sure there is much content there for the average gamer beyond aimlessly flying about and looking at the world but for me it's very relaxing and has been a great tool for learning more about aviation. For example last night I did a little VFR flight using just my eyes (no GPS etc) where I took off from Carlisle and flew over the Lake District and then down to Bristol using just landmarks for guidance such as roads, mountains etc. The level of immersion was just unparalleled to anything I've experienced in gaming.

The reason it's so popular at the moment is that it's basically the entire world in one game, it's a huge leap for gaming in in terms of technology and its the first truly next gen experience in many many years. Having said that the average gamers/streamers will sack it off after a while as ultimately there isn't much 'content' for gamers, it's a flight sim after all... there are no objectives or game loops etc to keep the masses entertained for long periods of time.
