Computer games.

Just completed “Horace” on the Switch (also available on PC).

I’ve been gaming since 1984 ish, and genuinely, this is one of (if not the) greatest video games I’ve ever played. The fact that it was produced basically by one man (with a little help from a couple of others) blows my mind.

If you enjoy story driven platformers and appreciate pixel art, and are a fan of all things retro gaming, and love typical 80s/90s British humour and references, I can’t recommend playing this game enough.

Can I just add, if you really do have over 10,000 hours in a single game, might I suggest stepping away from the computer once in a while...... It will really help out with so many things.

Moderator or not, you should never tell other people how they should spend their time and life. You do not know how their life Are, and maybe its good reasons why someone spend so much time on games

So Lost Ark are tweeting they increased server capacity yet all servers are still rammed with a 22k queue in some. Madness. Guess i'll just have to wait till 50% fall away in a month.
They havent done it yet I dont think, they just said they were putting systems in place to do it soon(TM).

They dropped the ball big time sadly, things should be ok in a few days tho.

Im lucky my playing time is mostly off peak.

I got level 50 last night and im having a ball!

@MikelsGoat

This game better be good man. Delayed launch till 10.15pm last night but I'd already shut computer down by then, go on this morning had another 70GB download to do, finally get online and the server my friends are on is full and all the other servers have 3,000+ queue with no guarantees of space once out of the queue. They've royally ballsed up this release.
Makes sense with you now.

Found a server only 5k wait lol so chilled for half hour got in. Playing as sorceress and she does crazy damage. I ran martial artist in the beta and think ill level one too but enjoying sorc atm. Just defeated the salt giant, good enough for today.

After months of slowly building up my guy… trying to play this game better than the rubbish efforts I made a few years ago.. I got geared up with netherite and beat the ender dragon bringing down the official curtain on minecraft.. of course I need to go and get some elytra and have fun now.

Actually been debating setting up a group purely for minecraft as it is one of the main reasons I’ve been so quiet on GOT (well more than usual anyway). Kids been annoyed even how much time I’ve been putting in and not trying other games they want me to.

Been one heck of a commitment only beaten by my insatiable year long effort playing skyrim many years ago.

I quite like to have a 'larger' game going on, and then a 'smaller' game as a sort of palette cleanser alongside it

I sunk so many hours into games like Fallout 4 and Skyrim - I don't think it's particularly healthy to be scrabbling around dungeons and reading about the end of the world without some sort of more pleasant alternative

When I find myself getting a bit burned on those sort of games, I tend to switch to something completely different i.e Rally games (Which i'm a massive sucker for and tend to cheer me up when I'm playing)
I’m like this. I predominantly play DayZ but it gets a bit much sometimes so the simplicity and change of The Long Dark is a welcome change.

I can only do so much multiplayer before I want to just play on my own.

I remembered you telling me that so I've gone for the exact same model, just higher capacity. I'll take a photo of all the connections before removal and logic suggests it should go back the same way. We shall find out on Monday when I come on here effing and jeffing.

I'm actually enjoying learning about this stuff. But every time I think I understand something I read something more in depth that makes me realise I know nothing.
Just saw this, I dunno what GPU you have, If it happens to be an rtx 3080 or 3090, Make sure you run two separate power cables from the supply to the card. Although the gpu power cables are split to enable you to run just one....the power on a single rail isn't enough to power those cards.
Sorry for butting in like but not everyone knows this and it can cause issues down the line if not plugged in correctly?

Still playing skyrim on pc, heavily modded over 200 and counting. It runs really well and looks better than most if not all modern games out there today, Only trouble I have is that I have to point my characters eyes to the ceiling every time the wife comes in, She always says....god what a dull game.. ..well I have my housecarl lydia walking round my house in a pair of panties and thigh high boots. I have her set to walk like a hooer and wobble when she walks. I'm not sure the wife would understand its just a hobby.
Anyone recommend a good VR headset ??
Asking for a friend.

I’ve got a 3070 but I’m on the look out for a 3080. All the other high end cards are way overpriced for my desires.

Thanks for the heads up though, as I had no knowledge of that. I’ll keep that in mind if I ever manage to snag a 3080 on one of the Scan drops.

It's huge for a pixel game that I have it, I haven't played a lot and is not installed as I am not a huge fan of platformers. It's a nice looking game though. Might give it a retry.

Actually mate, If its a Founders edition your ok using one lead, If you have an aftermarket unit...e.g Asus, Evga you are still recommended to use two cables from your power supply, The 3070 is still a beast and still pulls too much power from one rail. Not sure it would cause issues with the hardware but you may run into stability issues when pushing the card.
The 3070 is a real nice card, I wouldn't bother with the 3080 if Ray tracing is your bag, Especially when running in 4k. Even with DLSS enabled it's still a hog on ultra settings, I do love mine but im hitting 10gb on modded versions of games already. 10 gb just isnt worth it, Unless you can nab one of the new ones with 12 gb.
