Computer games.

I feel games not having autosaves or checkpointing in this day and age is ridiculous tbh. Literally no one wants to see 2 hours of progress deleted
I get the idea behind some of these hardcore decisions like no autosaves and no fast travel, etc. But they should be options and should not be forced. It's a quality of life thing that has made games more accessible and for good reason.

I don't trust any hype after I was told nier automata was a once in a generation perfect game, then bought it and it definitely was not
I rarely trust hype but TBF Josef Fares never misses.

Nier Automata is not for everyone but objectively it is a great game, probably a 8/10 for me.

A better example would be Dragon Age: The Veilguard racking up perfect 10/10s and 5/5s when, at best, it deserved a 6/10 - and even that’s generous.

Ended up getting Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. Enjoying it but the save system has ruined the experience.

Twice I've had 2 hours of progress ruined, once cause it froze and another cause I died in a random encounter.

I am really enjoying it, didn't play the first version and subsequently felt overwhelmed for the first 20 odd hours.

Restarted a couple days ago, much better ideas on combat, lockpicking, pickpocketing which has enhanced the experience.

Agree on saving, it's caught me out numerous times and it can be soul destroying. Along with the terrible tutorials, confusing controls (on PS) and counter intuitive horse trading it's not always an easy game to love.

Aye enjoying it a lot more now i have a fair amount of beds i can save in. I've just been exploring and doing the side missions, not bothered with that wedding yet.

The tutorials were awful though, convinced they were bugged. The knock out one and the Tomcat sword fighting ones.

Knock out is tricky, but I cracked it. On PS, L2 to start the process, release, R2 when blue swords come on, instantly and hold L2.

The Tomcat one feels bugged.

I prioritise getting my horse and dog back, finished that today, now doing the Cuman side. Planning on murders.

Just a shame we don’t get as many demos as we used to, try them out for ourselves.

Personally don’t trust the game media whatever the game is, it’s no different to sports or general entertainment, be too honest and be black listed. Only benefits the publisher and media people, not the consumer.
