Computer games.

What's everyone's greatest game of all time?

Final Fantasy VII for me.

DAYUM BABY!

NES: Super Mario Bros 3
SEGA Genesis: Sonic 2
Super Nintendo: Zelda Link to the Past
PlayStation: Final Fantasy VII
N64: Zelda Ocarina of Time
Ps2: Shadow of the collosus
Gamecube: Metroid Prime
xbox: Halo
Xbox 360: Halo again
Xbox one: errr Halo again?
Wii: Mario Galaxy
Ps3: The last of us
Ps4: Good chance it will be bloodbourne
Pc: Half life/wow/skyrim/minecraft/civilisation? I don't know not much of a pc gamer me

If I had to pick one it would be shadow of the collosus, that game just left an impression on that I haven't felt from any other medium before or since x

prob fave game for me would be AOE2. Got me into playing games, and was the tits, a real classic I enjoy jamming when I have the time

If theres a Cash Converters or something near where you live, try there? The one in Wigan gets retro consoles all the time, I bought a SNES in there about 7-8 years ago for about £15 with 2 controllers and Mario World! Stopped collecting the old games though when Gamestation got rid of its retro section, leaving me to deal with eBay and its exploitation! £50 for Super Star Wars? Sod off...

I can't make this choice me. I have too many memories with games that make me look fondly on them for all different reasons.

c'mon man...name one as if your life depended on it :p

10 from the same series, brilliant story, fairly challenging normal mode, additional quests like the Dark Aeons and the Hunt were insane and took hours

I tried 10 but the American voices really cheesed me off. Never found a Jap version with subs, that would've been better.

Timesplitters 2 spent hours upon days of my childhood on that game.

Never heard of that...what format was it on?

i might say the original Tomb Raider.

Yes! In my all-time top 5 (KOTOR, PRO EVO and X2 make up the others). I miss it so much. Every newer Tomb Raider got progressively more action-based, to the point where she's gunning down hundreds of goons in linear fashion. Hardly any puzzles or massive spaces to explore anymore.

Picking one is too much, so I would just list FFVII, Frontier, EVE, Sensi and BF 1942 as being the best. In terms of best game series then Mass Effect.

I want to try Mass Effect. Love me some epic sci-fi. If you like Eve and Frontier Elite, try X2 and X3 (from Egosoft). X2 has the better story and mythology, X3 the better graphics.

Always loved the open world type of games like Skyrim, Fallout, GTA etc

MegaDrive - Alter Beast
Xbox360 - Halo 3, Fallout (series)

Altered Beast was rock hard! Back then for a 10-year old anyway.

I've got Fallout 3 on the Xbox...not played it yet. Love open-world games too.

One of the early FM/CM games

I had Premiership Manager on the Amiga, and The Double on C64. They were my footie-manager-sim memories. Amazingly addictive, even if The Double took bluddy ages to finish a season.

It's definitely FF7. Then there's a slew of games a fraction below it, like Grim Fandango. But FF7 is the one game where I can say that in what it was trying to do, in terms of gameplay, story and musical score it achieved close to perfection in doing so.

Goosepimps! And offers the most epic story in any medium. I'm even including film and literature in that.

I've got Grim Fandango on the PC, but again haven't played it. Might do it now.

Dragon Age Origins

Got that too, played the first few hours on it...I created a plump unattractive dwarf-lady as my main character and feel quite proud of her achievements thus far.

I refuse to answer.

*sigh*

Resident evil on the ps1,scared the fck out of me at times and most the pro evos in the ps2,most addictive games ever.

Yes! and double-yes! Silent Hill on the PS1 tho' for the scariest game of all time. Pro Evo and ISS Pro before that...ye gods...between 1998-2004 I reckon I must've spent ten thousand hours on the thing (the minimum hours you need to spend on anything to get really good at it). I always played the same custom formation: 1-3-1-2-3. Really attacking. I knew exactly where my players would be, never needed the radar. Always Everton when playing against mates (or rather Merseyside Blue), with Big Dunc leading the line. But really enjoyed the Master League (on maximum difficulty, naturally), starting with those crappy made-up players and eventually turning into some All-Stars team winning everything.

Thanks for memories, Konami!

If I had to pick one it would be shadow of the collosus, that game just left an impression on that I haven't felt from any other medium before or since x

I did the first 3 monsters...quite intrigued by it. Might have to go back again.

What game is that?

Probably Donkey Kong Country 2, for the nostalgia it gives me

What format was that? Don't think I've ever played a Donkey Kong, but maybe it's Nintendo, which I never had. Played some Mario and F-Zero at mates, they were ok. Always found Nintendo's game output too childish for my taste, tho'.

Final fantasy VII - changed the way people gamed for me.

Resident Evil

Metal Gear Solid - remember being amazed as a kid when you had to plug your control er into the other port to stop that boss reading your mind.

Gran tursimo for racers. Or that mad one on the SNES where you raced little spaceships.

Loved the multi player on lylatt wars (sp)

But for me sadly I'm an elder scrolls/fallout guy now.
