What does your gut say? if you arent fussed about technical aspects surely being able to play online with your mates is the important one?

I like the idea of being able to play old games and that, but after a few months of 1080p & 60fps and constant advances from developers, old games will progressively look and feel like sh!t by comparison.

Personally I went with PS4 out of loyalty and Naughty Dog games... and I don't find the XBox controllers comfortable.

I thought i'd decided on PS4 due to psn and wanting to play old games without having to wire up another console. (ff9 and mgs specifically) That and PSTV.

However, the monthly updates on xbox have me interested, that and a good portion of my game playing friends are on XB1.

Anybody seen a good unbiased article or any opinions to help me make a decision?

Depends on how old you are and how often you play with your mates really.

When i was younger, 15/16/17 i knew a lot of people who played on Xbox Live so it made sense for me to have a 360. Now that i'm older though less of my mates play on a regular basis, and the same goes for me. That means i've chosen the PS4 because it has the best features for me as a 'lone' player.

If you care a lot about multiplayer and think your mates will still be playing it for years to come get the Xbox One. Personally i think the PS4 is the best console, but it's about what you get out of it.
 
Just been playing MLB:The Show 14 on PS4.

My word.

The best sports game I have ever played (Apart from Sensible World Of Soccer OBVS).

I'd heard it was incredible, and I don't mind baseball, so picked it up on ebay at a knockdown price.

It's just the little touches that make it amazing. Like you smack the ball into the crowd and they all go up to catch it. The crowds look like actual living people for once on a game.

The presentation is so spot on.

It's actually got me wanting to learn more about the game so I can be better at this.

Amazing sports game.

Does it have a career mode? I want to be Kenny Powers.
 

Been back on Mass Effect 3, since I only need to finish it on Insanity to have got every achievement on all 3. Definitely the hardest of the 3 on the hardest settings, I breezed through 1 & 2 with imported characters and weapons and experience. 3 they massively ramped up the challenge mainly because the enemies are smarter and the maps allow them quite often to flank me!

The story is still brilliant though, get far too emotionally involved in character driven games...

Can't stand to watch it but I played Little League as a kid...pitcher and 1st base, as I'm left-handed. The Show series are great but I don't have the newest one yet.
