Deus Ex is £8 in my local Blockbuster in their fire sale.

Worth getting? I'm not an RPG player or anything and I don't know much about this.

I didn't like it mate.

But then it's not really my type of game so wasn't expecting to. I got it free with my PlayStation Plus subscription, so was no great loss.

I like the setting of the game, but not for me thesr RPG first person type games.

Great series. I never got Empire though, just Rome and Shogun, I take it it's good?
PC I tend to lean toward strategy games, like TW, the Civs etc. Console Halo 4, FIFA, CoD, Skyrim, L4D. I've tried to get into the Assassin's Creed, but they seem to get repetitive.

I've been looking for a new game, either PC or console, so this thread's giving me some options.

Those games are unreal. I have a massive boner for Rome. I don't have a computer capable of playing it right now though so by default I have no boners. Austerity for sure.

Started playing Gangsters: Organised Crime for the lulz. Always return to it every year or so. Timeless game. Get those dirty whorehouses up and running and you're laughing. Any one ever play the second one?

Just went back into Empire: Total War.

Started as the Prussians (widely seen as the hardest faction) on the hardest settings. 20 turns in and I'm way on my way to a unified Germany b)

Total Wars are quality games, can't wait for Rome 2.

Have been meaning to get into that series for ages. Often cheap on Steam/Get Games etc as well. But ive got so many games I don't play already, and between things like FM, Civ, CK2 I just don't know where I'd fit it in!

Agreed. Impossible to just play for "a little bit" to kill time.

Agreed. Not enough open environments in the game like the China mission, most of it had you on a linear stealth based path throughout the game. Shame because it could've been great.

I bought Hitman on release day and think I've played it 4 times.

Just can't get into it.

It was all about reaching the next door/checkpoint, rather than an expansive, open-ended, sandbox type world.

Bit disappointing for me.

I tried the total war thing but can't ever seem to get into it

I also just end up lashing everyone firward and they all get killed haha

I prefer stuff like Europa Universalis etc.
