Contracts - A seasonal positive

Well, the thing is if you check the names who are out of contract in the next 2 seasons...and consider that the stadium 'should' be built next year....

There may be an opportunity for quite a wide ranging rebuild -- we'd need investment of course but perhaps MSP's contacts somewhat drive that?

I suspect this may be why over the last 12months under Thelwell weve been linked heavily to younger players with a view to the long term.

We have Pickford, Branthwaite, Tarkowski, Patterson, Garner, Onana, McNeil which gives us 7 players. Its imperative we bring in 2 this summer though.

….we just brought in Ashley Young.
 

If Iwobi isn’t signing a contract I’d sell him this summer while we could still get maybe £15 million for him. Better that than have him leave for nothing next summer.

Id sell him regardless. Priority needs to be selling those whose contracts are expiring in the next two summers.
 
Iwobi is a toughy, he can kind of play and we probably could and will use him, but is probably getting overpaid and obviously if he wont renew it makes sense to cash in. Rectifying the Alli, Gomes, Gbamin and Iwobi wages will help the financial aspect but even then its only a small dent
