I have some Russian's that work for me. They're good people with a good attitude and are typically ashamed of what's happening today. I find that typically, expats are more open and culturally aware people. They've experienced several ways of living and become more adaptable. The Russian tourists here are generally disgusting though. Arrogant, rude and aggressive. There are hotels that I wouldn't stay in just because they host a high volume of them.
