Five years ago the UK went into Covid lockdown.
How was it for you?
What did you do to pass the time?
Did it change anything for you long term?
Have you recovered?
Didn't bother me too much, while being mindful of others who might be likely to get sick, If it suited me, I disregarded it when possible.
I pretended to scan their QR tracker thing every time I went in anywhere...total failure that cost millions? Billions?...the police liked it though for some reason - I wonder why
The two times some jobsworth demanded to actually see my phone screen to check I told them to get a court order and went on in.
The lad, his missus and 3 kids in Victoria or as it became known as Chairman Dan's Peoples Republic of Lockdownistan were locked down for a total of 262 'kin days ffs.
Well they bailed out to QLD about 2/3rds through
Got put in Hotel Quarantine for 2 weeks at a cost of $12,000 of which the Qld Govt are still trying to collect, he just throws he letters in the bin - koff.
Why? Because it wasn't/isn't - allegedly - properly legal.
What do we base this on?
The Letters state...gist...'we would really appreciate it if you could find your way to pay this' seriously!
If it was a proper legal bill it would be
Legally Demanding, Bailiffs, Court orders - THE WHOLE DEAL,
Before the moved they talked it over with the kids 11, 9, 6
'What about your friends?'
11y.o. 'Friends? What friends? I haven't seen anybody for 6months.
Which is a long time when you're 11
They moved soon after.
Never looked back.
Governments restricting your freedom to keep you safe - yeah right.
Edit; none of the states or the national Govt came out with much credit, but some officials just took the absolute P.
