Those who forget the lessons of history are doomed to repeat them??Can we stop harking back to this as if it should be nostalgia-tinged?

I had to fly a fair bit during this time. Never seen Ryanair staff looking happier. As I was leaving a flight after all restrictions were lifted I heard one sadly saying to another that they were gutted it was all over.It was honestly amazing. Michelle Moone says hiThe most frightening part for me was how quickly society surrendered to the state—and how easily people turned on each other.
That said, if COVID is the worst disaster your generation has faced, you’ve been lucky. Unless COVID was your death, of course.
What really gets me, though, is how many scandals and dodgy procurement deals have been swept under the rug. National emergencies always attract opportunists looking to line their pockets, but I’d like to think we live in a time where blatant corruption actually has consequences. Clearly, we’re not there yet.
No it's just the way my trousers bunch up when I sit down. Please point out to me where I said we should disregard it entirely.
There’s people with a hard on for another lockdown.
As COVID hit we had 3 full shifts, then lads doing days and nights, went back in June 2021 and there was about 30 of us, it was awful.I had to fly a fair bit during this time. Never seen Ryanair staff looking happier. As I was leaving a flight after all restrictions were lifted I heard one sadly saying to another that they were gutted it was all over.
I felt that generally there appeared to be a sense of community when it happened which eroded as it aged, but there are always massive bellends who don’t think the rules apply to them, and breach them under cover of assisting it was a sham, when it all it was, was them justifying their own selfish behaviour. As someone with severe auto immune issues, I found it a very interesting time to see people's true colours when it came to looking after the hardest hit, friends and family included.
