Sadly I fear this is going to get worse. I feared this listening to the local politicians and clergy last night. I have no answers - all we can do is try to support the community as best we can.

Well thats awful news to wake up to. Cant imagine what that community will go through.

In such a tragedy it was wonderful that NI emergency services responded to assist.

This happened in reverse during WW2 when Dublin fire brigade went to Belfast after a major blitz bombing.

People can really be so good.

Ten people, including a young child and two teenagers, are confirmed to have died following yesterday's explosion in Creeslough, Co Donegal.

Absolutely gut wrenching seeing the footage on the news. Those poor people look completely lost. With it being such a small community they will literally know everyone involved.

Ireland is a small place and just had a work colleague explain we work with an Uncle of a young girl who lost her life.

You can’t comprehend this type of thing.

There was people on their way to that shop, when the explosion happened. Petrol station, shop, post office, ATM and a hairdressers, this was a central hub of a small rural Irish village.

Some of the stories that are emerging are really sad. A father and his young daughter who stopped there to buy some sweets are amongst the dead, and another victim was just popping in there to use the ATM.

No one knows what the future has in store though, and there was no way for those poor people to know about the horrible fate that awaited them. May God bless them and give their families strength.
