Obviously we all hate McMahon as he was a blue who snided off to the RS (via Aston Villa).
Liverpool were about to win the league at Anfield and would have done so with a 0-1 loss. With a minute to go the RS are all geeing each other up and McMahon starts shouting "one minute" whilst holding up one of his treacherous fingers.
Of course the rest is beautiful history.

I too found it mad they bought him but they did that in December 1991 over two and a half years after that hilarious goal Thomas scored so not that quickly.It was just weird how they rushed out and bought Thomas with almost indecent haste so soon after that moment. As if they were trying to take ownership of what had happened and stop people rubbing their noses in it (like, 'ah but he's a red now, he wants to forget about that goal').
