No idea. But big changes are surely coming after this debacle, a lot of ODI careers about to come to an end I feel.

Certainly ODI wise we may aswell start the new cycle now, in terms of T20 with a world cup round the corner I guess that depends on the thinking.

You 100% want an inform Buttler at the T20 world cup, is that more likely to happen with no captaincy in tow?
 
With unrelenting rain in Bangalore insinuating a wash-out of their impending match vs Sri Lanka, NZ will need its colonial suzerain to beat Pakistan next.

Hard to say, but it looks as if captaincy is definitely affecting his batting, especially as he is keeping as well.
 


Not that we deserve it, but if NZ beat Sri Lanka today, and as long as we don't suffer a heavy loss to Pakistan then we should finish 8th and qualify for the champions trophy?

If we finish 8th then surely we do deserve it. We've been awful but it would mean that two other teams have been more awful. That's the way sport works.

Also Bangladesh have got Aus in their final game and Netherlands have India. It's hard to see either overhauling England.

NZ thrashing SL puts them in the box seat for a semi final...but I don't discount mercurial Pakistan from the equation. Afghanistan?...not so much. SA should see them off.
But whoever gets that 4th spot plays India...and they are peerless in this tournament.
